Corey Seager is not in the team's starting lineup for Sunday's series finale in Detroit against the Tigers at Comerica Park.
Ezequiel Duran will start at the 6 and hit ninth for the Rangers against Tigers right-hander
Reese Olson. Seager missed Thursday and Friday due to a minor right-hamstring injury, but he returned with a bang on Saturday against Detroit, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double and three RBI in the 10-5 win. The Rangers appear to be playing things safe with the 31-year-old veteran on Sunday, and he should be back in there for Monday's series opener against the Colorado Rockies. Duran makes for a very low-upside DFS play in the nine-hole for the Rangers for Sunday's slate of action. The 25-year-old Dominican has just one hit in his 16 at-bats this season and has one hit in his four career at-bats against Olson.

Corey Seager went 3-for-4 with a double and two home runs in his team's 10-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The former first-round pick drove in three runs and also scored twice. He had missed the last two games with a mild hamstring injury but didn't appear to be hampered by it, blasting his fifth and sixth long balls of the year. Each of the 31-year-old's hits exceeded 100 MPH in exit velocity, and it was the second multi-homer effort in 26 games for him. Seager has at least one hit in all but two of his last 14 appearances -- going back to before his stint on the IL. Over that stretch, he's batting a blistering .375 (21-for-56) with 11 runs scored, nine RBI, and seven extra-base hits (four doubles, three homers). If he can stay healthy, he should again be among the best shortstops in fantasy.

Corey Seager (hamstring) was being rested for the second straight day in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers in the series opener due to a right-hamstring injury. Seager has already been on the 10-day injured list already this season with a hamstring ailment, but it's unclear if this new injury is related. Even if it isn't, the 31-year-old is in danger of heading back to the IL unless he's able to return to the starting lineup soon. Josh Smith would see most of the starts at the 6 for the Rangers. In 25 games in 2025, Seager has hit .281 (27-for-96) with four homers, three doubles, nine RBI and 12 runs scored for Texas.

Josh Smith is starting at shortstop and is hitting seventh, while
Sam Haggerty is patrolling center field and batting leadoff. Fantasy managers should be on the lookout for more news on Seager, as he was also out in Thursday's series finale against the Boston Red Sox. This will be his second straight missed game. Smith is hitting over .300 on the year for Texas but is an easy DFS fade at the bottom of the lineup in a tough lefty-lefty matchup. Haggerty will be making his debut with the Rangers after going 1-for-15 in eight games for the Seattle Mariners in 2024. Even in the leadoff spot, he's not much to look at for DFS. Smith is 0-for-3 in his career against Skubal, while Haggerty is just 0-for-1.
