Corey Perry Placed On Unconditional Waivers
12 months agoChicago Blackhawks forward Corey Perry was placed on unconditional waivers for purposes of terminating his contract, according to a statement released by the team on Tuesday. The team stated an internal investigation revealed Perry engaged in conduct that is unacceptable and in violation of both the terms of his contract and the Blackhawks' internal policies. The veteran has been away from the team since last appearing in a game on Nov. 19 against the Buffalo Sabres. Perry's agent released a statement stating the veteran left the team to attend to a personal matter. This marks the end of Perry's brief Blackhawks tenure that saw him tally four goals and nine points in 16 games along with 26 shots and a minus-six rating.
