Corey Lajoie Can’t Be Trusted in DFS Despite Strong Speed at Watkins Glen
1 year agoRoad course race tracks are nowhere near Corey Lajoie's strong suit. He has never posted a top-10 finish at this track type in 22 career attempts, and his average finish is 26.0. With that being said, with this NextGen car, Lajoie has gotten better than he was. He finished in 12th-place at the Charlotte Roval last season and followed that up with a career-best 11th-place finish at COTA earlier this year. Then this weekend at Watkins Glen, Lajoie's No. 7 Chevrolet was 2nd-fastest in practice and he made the final round of qualifying, too. He will start from 10th-place for Sunday's Go Bowling at The Glen. And while this has been a great weekend for Lajoie, he can't be trusted in DFS contests--even at the cheap price of $5,200 on DraftKings--simply because of his history and high qualifying effort.
