Corey Knebel Earns Save In NLCS Game 1
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Corey Knebel did not have a smooth road to a save Friday versus Los Angeles. He came in with the Brewers up 6-4 in the ninth inning. He would allow an RBI triple that put the tying run 90 feet away before striking out Justin Turner to end the game. Knebel finished the season as the closer for the Brewers, which is a role he continued Friday. There are arguably more talented closers left in the playoffs but Milwaukee may be the most devoted to maximizing the use of their bullpen.
