Corey Kluber Update Coming Friday
6 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber fractured his elbow after he was hit by a line drive during his start on Wednesday, and he had a cast on his right arm when he boarded a flight to Cleveland. The Indians won't make an announcement on his potential return until Friday. An optimistic outlook has him missing around three months -- four to six weeks for the bone to heal and four to six weeks for him to get back on the mound and build back up. A non-displaced fracture means Kluber won't need surgery, but his fantasy owners should still expect him to miss months, not weeks. Jefry Rodriguez and Cody Anderson are the two candidates to take Kluber's spot in the rotation. Rodriguez has already made two starts for the Tribe and has pitched well. Both pitchers are expected to make starts next week against the White Sox.
