Corey Kluber Plagued By Control Issues In Wednesday's Loss
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Corey Kluber struggled in Wednesday's loss to the Braves. Kluber exhibited shaky control of the strike zone- as he walked four batters and struck out just a pair, allowing two runs on two hits in 4 2/3 innings. The veteran right-hander threw just 50 of his 91 pitches for strikes and failed to pitch into the fifth inning for the fourth straight start. Kluber also took a step back in terms of generating swings and misses. Perhaps a favorable matchup against the Orioles on April 26 can get him going in the right direction, though it might be hard for fantasy managers to trust him.
