1 year agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora announced on Wednesday that the team will move right-handed veteran Corey Kluber to the bullpen in the wake of Tanner Houck's latest strong performance. Kluber has earned a trip to the 'pen by going 2-6 with a 6.26 ERA (6.59 FIP), 1.54 WHIP, 18 walks and 34 strikeouts in 41 2/3 innings over nine starts for the BoSox. The 37-year-old hasn't really been a fantasy option in mixed leagues in 2023, and now he's definitely off the fantasy radar now that he'll be pitching in a relief role for at least the foreseeable future. Kluber is unlikely to pitch in high-leverage situations, so we should expect to see him in more of a multi-inning mop-up role for the time being.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
