Corey Dickerson Exits Sunday’s Contest Early
4 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Corey Dickerson departed Sunday’s game against the Nationals early due to a left shoulder contusion that he sustained chasing a foul ball earlier in the contest. Prior to his exit, Dickerson socked his third home run of the season, bringing his OPS on the year up to .730. Dickerson has begun to heat up over the past week, having slashed .346/.393/.577 in his past seven games. Injuries cut his 2019 campaign short as well, which makes Dickerson a difficult season-long asset to rely upon. His next chance to get back into the lineup comes Monday against Washington and right-hander Austin Voth.
