Corbin Carroll Getting The Day Off On Sunday
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll is not in the starting lineup on Sunday for the season finale against the Houston Astros. The D-Backs clinched a playoff spot on Saturday so it makes sense to rest their 23-year-old All-Star. Carroll is all but guaranteed the NL Rookie of the Year after putting up a ridiculous .285/.362/.506 batting line with 25 home runs, 76 RBI, 54 stolen bases, and a league-leading 10 triples over 565 at-bats. Jake McCarthy is starting in right field and batting second in Carroll's place against Cristian Javier and the Astros.
