Corbin Carroll Avoids Injury On Sunday
8 months agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (wrist) collided with teammate Jake McCarthy in the outfield on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals, and Carroll was down on the ground for a moment before getting up and jogging off. Manager Torey Lovullo said Carroll fell on his left wrist but that no X-rays were done and the outfielder would be in the lineup on Monday versus the visiting Chicago Cubs. The 23-year-old finished Sunday's game going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base and is now hitting .233 (14-for-60) with a homer, four RBI and five stolen bases in his first 15 games in 2024. The reigning National League Rookie of the Year hasn't hit his stride yet this year at the plate but should remain in all fantasy lineups this week after his injury scare on Sunday.
