Corbin Burnes Earning Little Run Support
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes has turned in quality starts in each of his last five outings. Unfortunately, he's been gifted just one win over that five-game stretch. In his most recent start, this past Saturday against the Atlanta Braves, he pitched six innings while allowing six hits, one walk and two runs (one earned). The Brewers were defeated 3-2 in the game and Burnes was tagged with his second consecutive loss. Through six total starts on the year, Burnes has a 1-2 record to go along with a stellar 1.86 ERA and 0.80 WHIP. His 50 strikeouts are second in the majors. Fantasy managers have little to complain about in regards to Burnes' performance on the mound. He just needs some help from the Brewers' offense going forward. He'll be making his next start this coming Saturday against the Miami Marlins.
