Cooper Kupp Officially Being Released On Wednesday
9 seconds agoThe Los Angeles Rams have informed veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp that he will be released on Wednesday, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. The team looked to trade the 31-year-old this offseason but was unable to come up with a deal. Now, Kupp will hit the open free-agent market, where he will be free to sign with any organization. After being selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Eastern Washington, Kupp registered 634 catches for 7,776 yards, and 57 touchdowns in 104 career games over eight seasons. He won NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 after logging 145 receptions for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. While Kupp has battled lower-body injuries and is likely past his prime, he provided some strong performances in 2024 and totaled 67 catches for 710 yards and six scores. There should be plenty of free-agent interest for the former first-team All-Pro.
