Conor Sheary Nets Game-Winner In Overtime
4 years agoWashington Capitals winger Conor Sheary delivered the team another two points on Saturday, scoring a 2-1 game-winner against Philadelphia with exactly a minute left in overtime. Lars Eller ruined Alex Lyon's bid for his first career shutout with only 20 seconds left in regulation. The Capitals won despite missing many of their regulars. Sheary ended up logging a season-high 20:38 thanks to that. He now boasts 12 goals and 22 points in 52 games ahead of the team's regular-season finale against Boston on Tuesday.
