Connor Norby Remains Stellar At Triple-A
4 months agoBaltimore Orioles second base prospect Connor Norby went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk on Thursday. This extended his current hitting streak to four games. Since July 1, the former second-round pick has posted a dominant .350/.386/.750 line with five home runs and 12 RBI. Norby got a brief four-game taste of the major leagues this season and tallied three hits and one home run across four games. Through 74 games at Triple-A Norfolk this season, Norby has posted a .294/.380/.532 line, which proves he is more than ready for a full-time major league role, but the Baltimore infield is quite crowded, which limits Norby's playing time. However, if a player in the majors were to get into a prolonged slump or get injured, Norby's name could be the first one called upon to fill in.
