3 years agoChicago Blackhawks defenseman Connor Murphy had to be stretchered off the ice in Saturday's 6-3 win over Ottawa after he took an awkward fall into the boards just 2:40 into the game. The game was delayed for several minutes while Murphy was treated on the ice. It was a scary scene, but according to reports, Murphy wasn't even taken to the hospital and it appears that he managed to avoid serious injury. The 28-year-old has been a huge force defensively for Chicago, recording 130 hits and a league-high 150 blocks in 57 outings this season.
