Connor McDavid, Oilers Ready For Scoring Surge
4 years agoEdmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid had a quiet week and went three games without a single point before putting together a three-point night in Saturday's 3-2 win over Calgary, but he looks set for a very productive period, as do his teammates. The Oilers start a four-game week and three of the first matchups will be against the 8-17-1 Ottawa Senators, who allow a league-high 3.92 goals per game. McDavid has already crushed them multiple times this season, racking up eight points in four outings. Defenseman Tyson Barrie has five points from the matchups and reigning Hart Trophy winner Leon Draisaitl even produced six assists in an 8-5 win on Jan. 31. Kailer Yamamoto is currently skating alongside McDavid and Draisaitl on the top line and is available in over 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues, so fantasy managers should rush to scoop him up. Other Edmonton forwards deserve a look as well.
