Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl Get Split Up
3 years agoEdmonton Oilers forwards Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl won't be linemates for Thursday's matchup with Arizona, with McDavid and Jesse Puljujarvi set to be joined by Zach Hyman on the top line. Draisaitl will skate on the second line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Kailer Yamamoto. The Oilers are off to a perfect 3-0-0 start to the season, but the top line has carried a lot of the scoring responsibilities as both McDavid and Draisaitl have notched eight points. The move should provide a boost to Yamamoto, who's pointless so far, and Hyman will, of course, naturally benefit from the presence of McDavid as well.
