Connor McDavid Continues Scoring Tear With Three Points
2 years agoEdmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid pushed his scoring streak to 12 games and surpassed 90 points for the season with a three-point effort in Saturday's 7-3 win over Chicago. He had a goal and two assists in the contest, becoming the fifth player in NHL history to reach 90 points within the team's first 50 games of a season multiple times in his career. McDavid sits on 41 goals and 51 assists for the campaign. Nine of his 92 points have come in three matchups against Chicago, so the Blackhawks will be very glad to know that they don't have to face McDavid anymore this season. The Oilers captain had nine goals and 11 assists in 12 January appearances and will kick off the next month on Feb. 7 versus Detroit.
