Colts Rushing Attack Struggles in Preseason Tilt
6 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts rushing attack was largely ineffective against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3 of the preseason. While rookie Jordan Wilkins received the start, he finished the day with an abysmal 2.0 yards per carry and rotated out with Christine Michael on the first-team offense's third drive. Michael did manage to score a touchdown against second stringers, though he only accumulated nine yards on eight carries himself. Rookie back Nyheim Hines' five carries failed to generate any yardage. This performance by the Colts current stable of rushers should make clear that if sophomore running back Marlon Mack returns, he is the lead dog to own in the offense. At present, the Colts backfield is one to avoid for fantasy purposes.
