Colts Being Vague On Jonathan Taylor's Status
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) had an arthroscopic debridement last winter to fix a high-ankle sprain that limited him to 11 games in 2022, and he denied reports that he also reported to training camp with a back injury. The Colts have declined to name the specific injury. Taylor requested a trade over the weekend due to his contract, but the Colts don't plan to sign him to a contract extension or trade him before the start of the season. "Right now he's on this football team, and when the medical staff clears him, he should be out there," head coach Shane Steichen said. There's no timetable for now on when Taylor might return from the PUP list, and his unhappiness with the organization is just another negative factor contributing to his lack of popularity as a high-end RB1 in fantasy after being a bust in 2022.
