Colt McCoy Fractures Fibula Monday Night
6 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy's (leg) season is over after X-rays showed that he suffered a fractured right fibula on Monday night against the Eagles, according to a source. McCoy was a perfect 4-for-4 for 50 yards passing on the night before he suffered the ugly injury. He was seeing starting time after Alex Smith broke his leg in horrendous fashion two weeks ago. The flailing Redskins are now down to Mark Sanchez under center. All of Washington's aerial weapons will see even more of a hit in the final stretch of the regular season. Expect the 'Skins to lean on Adrian Peterson and the ground game as much as possible. Pass-catching running back Chris Thompson, who returned from a rib injury, could benefit with Sanchez now the starter.
