2 years agoCenter/winger Evan Rodrigues and the Colorado Avalanche have agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal for the 2022-23 season. Rodrigues is coming off a career year with the Pittsburgh Penguins, in which he scored 19 goals, 24 assists, and 43 points, all of which are career highs. The 29-year-old forward was able to take advantage of missed time from the Penguins duo of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin and put up big numbers on the Pens' top line and top powerplay unit. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that Rodrigues will see the same deployment on a loaded Avalanche team. Still, he could see powerplay time and second-line minutes.
