Collin Sexton's Role Unclear Ahead Of New Campaign
1 year agoUtah Jazz guard Collin Sexton missed a large chunk of last season with health issues, and it's unclear where he fits in the team's plans ahead of the new campaign. Sarah Todd of The Deseret News has noted that there's fierce competition for the starting point guard spot in Utah, and Sexton needs to improve his game if he wants to lock down a position there. "If the Jazz have plans of playing Sexton as a point guard, we still need to see some improvement from him as a decision-maker and distributor," Todd wrote. Todd also questions whether Sexton's skillset is good enough to be the starting shooting guard. The former top-10 pick was mostly used off the bench last season, and Sexton averaged 14.3 points and 2.9 assists in 23.9 minutes. He boosted his numbers to 16.5 points and 4.8 assists as a starter in 15 games.
