3 years agoThe Atlanta Braves have signed right-handed pitcher Collin McHugh to a two-year deal with $10 million guaranteed. The deal also has a club option for 2024. McHugh spent the 2021 season with the Tampa Bay Rays and worked in short relief and as an opener for the team. By most metrics, he was as effective as he's ever been in the majors last year. He had a 30% strikeout rate and a 1.55 ERA that was supported by a 2.26 xERA. He was exceptional at limiting hard contact with a 98th percentile barrel rate (2.5%) and a 96th percentile hard-hit rate (29.6%). If we get word that he's a candidate for a starting role with the Braves, he'd be well worthy of rostering in most fantasy leagues.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
