Colin Selby To Start For Pirates
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates rookie right-hander Colin Selby will make the start on Saturday against the visiting Chicago Cubs, with rookie right-hander Osvaldo Bido expected to be the bulk-relief pitcher. Selby has made only seven relief appearances for the Pirates in his first MLB season and hasn't gone more than two innings in any of his outings, so he obviously should be avoided as a fantasy streamer on Saturday. In 8 2/3 innings, he's allowed seven earned runs on 11 hits (two homers) while walking six and fanning 13. Bido should be able to go longer in this contest if he's effective. In his first 13 big-league outings (eight starts), he's given up 27 runs (25 earned) on 47 hits (four homers) while walking 15 and striking out 43 in 44 1/3 frames.
