Colin Moran Launches Three-Run Shot On Thursday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates infielder Colin Moran went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk during Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Chicago Cubs. He crushed a three-run shot off Cubs pitcher Keegan Thompson in the first inning to give the Pirates a 3-0 lead. It was his eighth long ball of the season. The 28-year-old is starting to heat up and has now recorded a hit in seven straight games. He is hitting .357 (10-for-28) with two home runs and seven RBI during the streak. Overall, Moran is slashing .284/.341/.432 with eight home runs, 37 RBI, 19 runs scored, and one stolen base over 258 plate appearances in 2021. The Pirates infielder can be used as a streamer for the season's final stretch while he's wielding a hot bat.
