4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Colin Moran is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team faces Jose Quintana and the Chicago Cubs. Jose Osuna is getting the start at first with Josh Bell at designated hitter in the game. Moran was scorching hot to start the year with an OPS of 1.260 in July. However, he's struggled so far in September, slashing just .216/.298/.351. Moran is a career .269 hitter, so hopefully he'll be able to raise his season-long batting average (currently .236) over the final week of the season, but don't expect to see more of the power surge he showed in the season's opening weeks as he's never topped 13 home runs over a full season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
