Colin Moran Doubles, Homers In Finale With Cubs
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman Colin Moran went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI and a run scored in a 4-3 loss to Chicago in the series finale. It was a good day at the plate for Moran, who had opened the year 1-for-6 with three walks and three strikeouts in his first two games. Moran had shown some power with 11 home runs in 144 games in 2018 and 13 in 149 games in 2019, but he had a power surge last season when he launched 10 home runs in 52 games and posted a career-high .472 SLG. The power is low for a first baseman, but in deeper NL-only formats he's worth a look as a corner infield option.
