Colin Holderman Earns His First Save Monday
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates righty Colin Holderman completed his first save of the season in Monday's 5-4 win, going one inning, striking out one, and working around three hits to keep the Oakland Athletics scoreless. The 27-year-old has been solid this year in a setup role, sporting a 2.74 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 27.1% strikeout rate. It'll be hard for Holderman to earn many more save opportunities with David Bednar on the roster, but considering his 12 holds already, fantasy managers in hold leagues should look to pick him up if he's still available.
