Colin Blackwell Nets Game-Winner In Battle Of New York
4 years agoNew York Rangers winger Colin Blackwell notched the game-winning goal in Friday's 4-1 victory over the Islanders, registering his 12th goal of the season in the middle of the game. Alexis Lafrenière, K'Andre Miller and Mika Zibanejad took care of the rest of the goals. Blackwell, who's scored in four of his last five appearances, must be pinching himself regularly as he skates on a line with Artemi Panarin and Ryan Strome. The 28-year-old had managed just 33 career games ahead of the current campaign. He's already skated 31 times this season, quietly becoming one of the team's best goal-scorers. Blackwell, who sits on 17 points, will look for more success against the Islanders on Sunday before starting a very favorable four-game set versus New Jersey.
