Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger (shoulder) has been placed on Injured Reserve, with the team considering him week-to-week. The 21-year-old was injured against the Detroit Red Wings last week and will be out of the lineup for a second consecutive game when the Blue Jackets host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday. Sillinger is on track for a career year, boasting 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) through 54 appearances. On Tuesday, Sillinger's spot on the second line will be filled by Yegor Chinakhov (back), who is ready to return from a 39-game absence.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger (shoulder) could be available to return to the lineup this week. He has missed eight games due to a shoulder injury. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Blue Jackets head coach Dave Evanson did not dismiss the possibility of Sillinger's return to action this week. His next chance to make a comeback will be on Thursday against the Florida Panthers. Columbus also has a game scheduled for Friday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sillinger remains on track for a career year, having totaled 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists) in 54 outings. With Sean Monahan (wrist) also nearing his return, the Blue Jackets offense is about to receive a big boost.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger (upper body) will return from a three-game absence on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. He is set to fill a top-six role in the contest after skating with James van Riemsdyk and Kent Johnson in Wednesday's practice. Both wingers have been hot lately, putting Sillinger in a good position to make an immediate impact on Thursday. The 21-year-old has registered 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) in 45 games this season. However, Sillinger has increased his points tally just three times over his past 14 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger (illness) will hop back into the lineup for Saturday's clash against St. Louis. Sillinger sat out Saturday's meeting with Seattle due to an illness. His absence allowed his older brother, Owen, to make his NHL debut. Columbus reassigned Owen Sillinger to the minors on Friday, so the two brothers must wait for a chance to play together in the big league. Sillinger will return to second-line duty, taking up a position alongside Kent Johnson and James van Riemsdyk. The 21-year-old has recorded 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) across 40 games in 2024-25, but Sillinger has been cold lately, adding to his tally just twice in his past nine appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger (lower body) will play against Philadelphia on Tuesday. His status for the game was initially up in the air after Sillinger sustained a lower-body injury in Sunday's 4-1 win against Winnipeg. Sillinger has been quietly good this season, recording 18 points (four goals, 14 assists) in 26 games. He has logged two multi-point outings in five December appearances, posting a goal and four assists. We should see Sillinger in his normal role on the third line on Tuesday, next to Zachary Aston-Reese and Mathieu Olivier.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
