Cole Kmet Looks To Build On Strong Week 8 Performance
1 year agoChicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has experienced both ends of the spectrum in the past two weeks. In Week 7, Kmet finished with zero catches on zero targets despite playing 89% of the snaps. Last week against the Chargers, the Notre Dame alum did a complete 180, catching all 10 of his targets for 79 yards in the 30-13 loss to the Chargers, ranking as TE6 for Week 8 in PPR formats. Week 9 presents more of a challenge, as the Saints allow the fifth-fewest points per game this year to tight ends. With starter Justin Fields (thumb) out again, rookie backup Tyson Bagent is set to start once more. Kmet seemed to establish a good rapport with the undrafted rookie last week, but the Bears' passing attack is extremely limited. He ranks as a TE2 this week against a stingy Saints' defense.
