Cole Carrigg Launches First Double-A Home Run
1 hour agoColorado Rockies catching prospect Cole Carrigg went 3-for-4 on Sunday with his first long ball and stolen base at the Double-A level. After tallying at least one hit in each of his first two games at the level, Carrigg enjoyed a breakout showing as he hit his first round-tripper at this level and tallied four RBI. This was also his first time reaching first base multiple times in a game this season. Carrigg spent the majority of the 2024 season with High-A Spokane and held a strong .280/.358/.475 slash line with 16 doubles and 16 round-trippers. He showed elite speed as he swiped 51 bags and held a solid 50:97 BB:K. The 22-year-old has looked quite comfortable holding a .385/.429/.629 through three games with Double-A. Given that he spent the entire 2024 season with High-A, he will likely only be in the mix for a late-season taste of Triple-A.
