Cole Beasley Could Play In Week 3
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Cole Beasley could be active for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers, according to head coach Todd Bowles. When asked if Beasley could play Sunday, Bowles said, "I think he could. He's quick and catches up to speed real fast. He understands the system and he's played and gotten a lot of reps under him." The Buccaneers' offense could be extremely short-handed in Week 3, with Mike Evans (suspension) out, Chris Godwin (hamstring) unlikely to play, and Julio Jones (knee) a game-time decision. If Beasley is to play, he is nothing more than a dart throw considering it would be his first game with a new offense.
