Colby Thomas Showing Power Surge At Triple-A
5 months agoOakland Athletics outfield prospect Colby Thomas recently joined Triple-A Las Vegas and has begun to showcase his elite power potential. In his past six games, the Mercer product has posted a .348/.464/.783 slash line with an eye-catching 1.247 OPS. In this stretch, Thomas has launched three long balls with one double and tallied eight RBI. He only went one game in this stretch without tallying at least one hit. Overall, through his first 13 games at Triple-A, the 23-year-old has held a strong .327/.417/.596 line. The number 11 ranked prospect in the Oakland system on MLB Pipeline has progressed through the minor leagues very quickly after needing just 54 games at High-A and 59 games at Double-A to reach the top level of the minors. Thomas has a strong chance of making his major league debut in the second half of the season and could become a popular stash candidate in redraft leagues if he continues this power run.
