Colby Thomas Enjoying Hot Start
21 hours agoAthletics outfield prospect Colby Thomas has gone 3-for-9 at the plate with a home run and two RBI across his first three games of the Triple-A regular season. He has tallied at least one hit in each game and has held a 3:3 BB:K. The Mercer product was in the mix for a spot on the Opening Day roster during camp, but instead, the Athletics opted for him to continue his development in the minor leagues. Last summer, Thomas split his season between Double-A and Triple-A. In 59 games at Double-A, Thomas posted a .282/.340/.568 line with 19 doubles and 14 home runs. Then, across his first 73 games with Triple-A Las Vegas, the 24-year-old posted a .272/.344/.559 line. Fantasy managers in deeper formats should continue to monitor his progression as he could push for an early-season MLB debut.
