Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Cody Martin (ankle) is slated to miss time with an ankle injury and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, it was announced on Monday. Before he tweaked his ankle, the 28-year-old had 12 points and two blocks in 32 minutes against Philadelphia on March 1. Martin has been dropped in many fantasy leagues due to being injury-prone over the years. Players like Vasilije Micic and Grant Williams could see more action in Tuesday's game against Orlando with Martin inactive.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Cody Martin (hernia) will not debut for his new team until after the All-Star break. Phoenix will be in action twice before the break, playing out a back-to-back set on Tuesday and Wednesday. Martin hasn't played since Jan. 24 due to a sports hernia. Before moving to Phoenix, Martin averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 24.8 minutes with the Charlotte Hornets. It's unlikely he will get near these numbers with his new team, as there are now a lot more bodies ahead of Martin on the depth chart.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

The Phoenix Suns acquired forward Cody Martin along with guard Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Jusuf Nurkic and a first-round pick. While the trade was mostly about moving Nurkic, Martin is an interesting addition to the Suns. The 29-year-old has been limited to 39 games this season but has produced 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in his 24.8 minutes per game. He has shown good upside in higher usage situations, and he could work his way into a meaningful role in the Suns' second unit, but his role is very undefined at this point.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller

The Charlotte Hornets announced forward Cody Martin (abdomen) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Martin will miss his fourth contest in a row due to a sports hernia injury. Josh Green (foot) is listed as probable for this evening, so if he can suit up, he will take a large amount of Martins minutes on the floor. Josh Okogie and DaQuan Jeffries could also see expanded roles versus the Clippers.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
