Cody Martin (hernia) will not debut for his new team until after the All-Star break. Phoenix will be in action twice before the break, playing out a back-to-back set on Tuesday and Wednesday. Martin hasn't played since Jan. 24 due to a sports hernia. Before moving to Phoenix, Martin averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 24.8 minutes with the Charlotte Hornets. It's unlikely he will get near these numbers with his new team, as there are now a lot more bodies ahead of Martin on the depth chart.

Cody Martin along with guard
Vasilije Micic and a 2026 second-round pick from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for
Jusuf Nurkic and a first-round pick. While the trade was mostly about moving Nurkic, Martin is an interesting addition to the Suns. The 29-year-old has been limited to 39 games this season but has produced 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in his 24.8 minutes per game. He has shown good upside in higher usage situations, and he could work his way into a meaningful role in the Suns' second unit, but his role is very undefined at this point.

Cody Martin (abdomen) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Martin will miss his third contest in a row due to a sports hernia injury. A timeline hasn't been set on when the 29-year-old veteran forward will return. In the meantime,
Josh Okogie and
DaQuan Jeffries will take extra minutes, especially this evening, with
Josh Green (foot) also missing in action.

He was last seen in action against the Portland Trailblazers, where Martin had a rebound and an assist in four minutes. This season, Martin has averaged 7.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. His field goal percentage stands at 43.3%, while his three-point shooting percentage is at 32.3%.
