Cody Bradford Earns Win Over Orioles
1 year agoTexas Rangers rookie left-hander Cody Bradford picked up his first playoff victory in the 11-8 win over the Baltimore Orioles in Game 2 of the American League Division Series on Sunday at Camden Yards. Bradford entered the game after starter Jordan Montgomery allowed five runs (four earned) in four innings of work and proceeded to shut the O's down for 3 2/3 innings, giving up just three hits while walking none and striking out four. It was a nice outing for Bradford, who had struggled down the stretch of the regular season for the Rangers. The 25-year-old southpaw went 4-3 in his first big-league season in 2023 with a 5.30 ERA (4.68 FIP), 1.21 WHIP, 12 walks and 51 strikeouts in 56 innings over 20 outings (eight starts).
