7 years agoCleveland Indians closer Cody Allen struck out the side in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game. It was not a save situation, as Cleveland was up 6-0, but Allen allowed just one hit and mowed down three Tigers hitters with 17 pitches (12 strikes). It was nice to see Allen get in and get work done, as the entire Cleveland bullpen has been somewhat of a mess lately.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
