Coby Mayo Close To Joining Big-League Roster
4 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo will help the major-league roster this season, according to general manager Mike Elias. Elias said, "He is in an exceptionally good spot. We talk about him all the time. He's very close. He's going to help us this year. It's just going to be about the right moment and the right opportunity and the right runway for something like that." Since June 19, the top prospect has posted an excellent .333/.446/.667 slash line with six home runs and 18 RBI. Ramon Urias has seen a majority of the starts at the hot corner this season in the majors but has posted a mediocre .236 average with just four long balls. Once promoted, Mayo will become a must-add player in all fantasy formats, as he possesses elite power upside and could make an immediate impact at the major-league level.
