Coby Mayo Playing First Base At Triple-A
4 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo has begun to see consistent playing time at first base. Mayo has made 15 starts at first base at Triple-A Norfolk this season and has made 56 at the hot corner. This is a great sign, as the Orioles are actively trying to find a spot on the major league roster for their budding star. Jorge Mateo (elbow) is slated to be sidelined for an extended period of time which could also open a potential spot in the lineup for Mayo. The former fourth-round selection has been tearing up Triple-A all summer as he boasts a stellar .295/.372/.582 line. He should be stashed in all leagues, as he could provide elite power production when given the call to the big leagues.
