Coby Mayo Breaks Out Of Minor Power Slump On Friday
4 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. Entering this game, the budding star has been in a bit of a power drought as he has not tallied a round-tripper in 11 games since. Despite the recent slide in production, the 22-year-old still boasts a stellar .294/.370/.589 slash line across 72 games at Triple-A Norfolk. He has tallied 20 home runs, 19 doubles, 58 RBI, and a 32:76 BB:K ratio. Mayo is on the verge of his major league debut and could be called up any day now as the Orioles recently placed infielder Jorge Mateo (elbow) on the 10-day injured list. Mayo should be considered a must-stash going forward, as he will provide elite power production when given the call.
