Coby Mayo Blasts Homer At Triple-A Norfolk
3 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo hit his 21st Triple-A homer of the season on Wednesday night for Norfolk. The stud prospect has torn up Triple-A this season but did not do much in his first stint in the major leagues. The 22-year-old was 1-for-17 after his call-up to Baltimore. That being said, he has pretty much mastered Triple-A and could get another shot before the season is over. Much like Jackson Holliday, his teammate who also struggled in his first MLB shot, Mayo is worth hanging onto this season in case he is promoted once again. Sometimes a bit of the pressure is removed in the second go-around in the majors for top prospects and that could be the case for Mayo. The talent is clearly there.
