Clint Frazier Recalled, Likely To Start Sunday
6 years agoPrior to Saturday’s game in Toronto against the Blue Jays, the New York Yankees designated David Hale for assignment, while once again recalling Clint Frazier from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. While the 23-year-old would not start the game, he would come on in the sixth inning after center fielder Aaron Hicks felt cramping following a base-running play. Considering the point in the season and manager Aaron Boone prioritizing the health of players and showing much patience, Hicks will likely be given the day off on Sunday, meaning Frazier will likely earn a start.
