The New York Yankees announced last week that recovering outfielder Clint Frazier (concussion) would see game action soon, and so he did Monday in Tampa. The 23-year-old played five innings in an extended spring training game, getting five plate appearances before exiting. Frazier has been sidelined for some time as he’s dealt with a concussion and the subsequent symptoms. Slowly but surely, he’s taken steps towards a return, but this is the biggest one yet. Originally forecasted to play in the minors as the Yankees loaded up in the outfield, Jacoby Ellsbury’s uncertain future means Frazier could very well be in the majors when he returns.--RDelgado
