Clint Capela’s First-Round DFS Preview
7 years agoHouston Rockets center Clint Capela has matched up well against the Timberwolves throughout the year. Capela had a double-double against Minnesota during the regular season, averaging 18.8 points and 10 rebounds per game in addition to shooting an impressive 79 percent from the field. Capela’s primary defender, Karl-Anthony Towns, has struggled defensively against Houston as well. Towns, who sported a 107.7 defensive rating in 2018, drastically took a tumble against the Rockets, finishing the season with a 124.3 defensive rating throughout four meetings. Subsequently, while Capela also played subpar on the defensive end during the regular season series between the two clubs, he saw a significant bump in his offensive rating, going from 113.2 to 121.4. Though Towns is obviously a better DFS play in most cases, there is still room for Capela in DFS lineups on Sunday, especially if you are strapped for cash.
