4 years agoAtlanta Hawks center Clint Capela scored a team-high 24 points and added 10 rebounds, one steal, and one block in Saturday's loss to Indiana. He shot 12-for-17 from the floor in what was his third-highest scoring game of the season. Capela was one of three Hawks with a double-double, as Trae Young had 15 points and 14 assists and Kevin Huerter recorded 10 points and 10 assists. Capela finished off last month with a monster run and he has been a bit quiet in February, but it looks like he's starting to heat up again. He has a chance to keep building momentum on Monday against the Knicks, who have just lost Mitchell Robinson (hand) to injury.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

5 days agoBrad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports that Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (personal) will be out of action for Wednesday's matchup with the Charlotte Hornets due to personal reasons. The 30-year-old is set to miss his first contest since the All-Star break. Capela's absence won't impact fantasy much this evening, as he's played under 20 minutes in five of his last six outings. Dominick Barlow is Onyeka Okongwu and will likely take on extra minutes for the team's frontcourt against Charlotte.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoAtlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (back) will be available for Thursday's matchup against the Orlando Magic. Capela has yet to play this month after dealing with back issues. He disappeared from the injury report before the All-Star break but was inactive for a couple of games. On Wednesday, Hawks head coach Quin Snyder said that he believes Capela will be available against Orlando, but it remains to be seen if he gets any action. Onyeka Okongwu took over the starting job at center on Jan. 20. With Larry Nance Jr. (knee) on the shelf, minutes have opened up for a backup big.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoAtlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (undisclosed) will be inactive against the Orlando Magic on Monday. This will be the second straight game with Capela inactive while not appearing on the injury report. Overall, he will be out for an eighth consecutive game, as Capela recently battled back spasms. Onyeka Okongwu has taken over the starting gig at center, with Larry Nance Jr., Dominick Barlow, and Mouhamed Gueye providing cover for him. The latter will start Monday's contest alongside Okongwu.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoAtlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (back) will remain seated for Wednesday's matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. He has been dealing with back spasms and was sidelined for the Hawks' three-game road trip. Capela's next chance to suit up for the Atlanta Hawks will be in Friday's home game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Also, Capela has drawn trade interest from multiple teams, one of them being the Chicago Bulls. The Hawks had reportedly contacted the Chicago Bulls about a potential Capela and Nikola Vucevic swap. Capela has averaged 9.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists this season. He recently lost his starting spot in Atlanta to Onyeka Okongwu, and that has made him expendable. Okongwu should remain in the starting lineup in Capela's absence.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
