Indians Reportedly Seeking Outfield Help
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians have pretty much been running away with the American League Central, but that doesn't mean they are going to stay quiet while the trade deadline nears. According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the Tribe is on the lookout for an outfielder. After acquiring Brad Hand in order to try to shore up their beleaguered bullpen, the Indians now turn to their outfield. Currently, their outfield platoon consists of Michael Brantley, Melky Cabrera, Tyler Naquin, Brandon Guyer, and Rajai Davis. Outside of Brantley — who has been an injury risk throughout his career — the Indians outfield could probably use an upgrade. While a known commodity from a rival like Detroit Tiger Nicholas Castellanos would definitely help, he wouldn't come cheap. Other, more viable possibilities could be the Cincinnati Reds' Adam Duvall or the Miami Marlins' Derek Dietrich, who has been linked to the Indians in the past.
