Clayton Tune's Mobility Could Give Him A Chance
2 years agoArizona Cardinals veteran quarterback Colt McCoy is expected to open Week 1 as the starter under center with Kyler Murray (knee) still recovering from a torn ACL. However, if Murray takes a while to come back, ESPN's Dan Graziano wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals take a look at rookie fifth-rounder Clayton Tune, whose mobility may help him fit the team's offensive system better than McCoy. McCoy has been with the team for two years and has started three games in each season, but Arizona has a new front office, coaching staff and offense, so his experience may not give him much of a leg up over Tune. Many people around the league think the Cardinals have the worst roster on paper and are focused on the future, so don't be surprised if Tune makes some starts before Murray returns.
